Mitch Langerak announces his retirement after an 18 year record breaking career.

July 2025 - Former Academy Goalkeepers Mitch Langerak has announced his retirement from Professional football. Having returned to Australia in January 2025 after a decorated career Mitch will take up a role as goalkeeper coach at Melbourne Victory.
July 2025 - Former Academy Goalkeepers Mitch Langerak has announced his retirement from Professional football. Having returned to Australia in January 2025 after a decorated career Mitch will take up a role as goalkeeper coach at Melbourne Victory.

Mitch stared his goalkeeping journey in Bundaberg spending 5 years at the Goalkeeping Australia Academy before moving onto Melbourne Victory and then overseas to German giants Borussia Dortmund featuring in the Bundasliga and UEFA Champions League. After his time in Europe he moved to J-League's Nagoya Grampas where he played over 240 games for the club and set an all time J-League record for 823 consecutive minutes without conceeding a goal. Mitch also represented Australia at youth level and made 8 apperances for the Socceroos.
