Sunshine Coast Squad high achievers 2024
As Goalkeeping Australia Academy comes to the end of our 23rd year in operation we recognise this season’s high achievers and dedicated Academy coaches. This year we had 3 of our goalkeepers selected in Queensland teams who competed at the Football Australia National Youth Championships. Bright & Lewis - Queensland U15 Team
May 2024 - Academy goalkeepers Manu Lewis and Mitch Bright have been selected in the Queensland U15 Team. The two Academy goalkeepers will compete at the 2024 Emerging Socceroos Championships in Woolongong. Well done both boys and Academy coach Damien Cox who has been instrumental in their development!


Teagan Micah signs for Liverpool FC
July 2023 - Former Academy goalkeeper Teagan Micah has signed for English giants Liverpool FC. After a successful season for Swedish Champions Rosengard the Matildas showstopper makes the move to England


Jack Warshawsky - Young Socceroos AFC U 20 Championships - Uzbekistan
March 2023 - Former Academy Goalkeeper Jack Warshawsky was outstanding in the AFC U20 Championships in Uzbekistan this month. The team lost to the host nation in extra time and penalties in the quarter final in front of a hostile 35,000 strong Uzbek crowd.


Alex Nassiep - Joeys Team
August 2022 Academy Goalkeeper Alex Nassiep currently at Melbourne Victory FC made his Australian U17 debut at the AFF Championships in Indonesia. Alex becomes the 8th Academy goalkeeper to represent Australia


Murphy Sheaff - New Zealand - FIFA U20 Womens World Cup Costa Rica
August 2022 What a fantastic few weeks for Murphy Sheaff. She started in every game for New Zealand at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Costa Rica who took on Mexico, Columbia and powerhouses Germany. Although New Zealand did not get through to the Quarter Finals we are all extremely proud of Murphy and her performances at this major tournament the first of many to come.
