Jordan Thurtell - Perth Glory FC & Young Socceroos

Jordan joined the Sunshine Coast Academy Squad in 2008 as a 12 year old. Jordan was selected and competed for Queensland in the FFA National Championships for boys in the U13, U14 and U15 age groups. In 2009 Jordan made his international debut for the Austalian U13 Team in the Asian Confederations Cup in Malaysia. 

 

At 15 Jordan spent a short time with the Queensland Academy of Sport program before being offered a full time Scholarship at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra in 2012. Jordan spent the next 2 seasons playing in the National Youth League for the AIS and was also selected in the Joeys - Australian U17 National Team competing in various tournaments in Australia and overseas as well as Asian Cup Championships in Australia and overseas.

 

In 2014 Jordan was signed by A-League club Perth Glory and has been competing in the National Youth League team over the past 2 seasons. In early 2014 Jordan was called into the Young Socceroos - Australian U20 National team and quickly established himself as the national teams No1 keeper. Jordan played numerous matches for the Young Socceroos in 2014 in tournaments including the U20 NTC International Tournamnet in Los Angeles, AFF Championships in Vietnam, and the AFC U19 Championships in Myanmar.
